Terms of Service
In effect from 6 October 2026 · Version 2026-10-06
These terms are an agreement between your business and Crew Cab Ventures. They cover every app we run, such as Changed, Matched and Dose. Our website is crewcabstudios.com. You agree to them when you continue past a line that says so, for example under a sign-in button, or when you use our apps. They are written to be read, so most sections are short.
1. Who we are
“We”, “us” and “our” mean Crew Cab Ventures, of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Card statements and receipts from us say Crew Cab Ventures.
“You” means the business that opens an account in one of our apps. “Your team” means everyone you let into that account.
2. What makes up this agreement
Your agreement with us for an app has three parts:
- These terms, which apply to every app.
- The app's addendum, when it has one. It covers things only that app does. For example, the Changed addendum covers electronic sign-off. You can read it from the app's own Terms page.
- Our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and what we do with it.
If an addendum and these terms disagree about something the addendum covers, the addendum wins for that app. Otherwise these terms win.
3. Who may use our apps
Our apps are for businesses, such as contractors and field service companies. They are not for personal, family or household use.
To open an account you must be old enough to make a contract where you live, and able to agree to these terms for your business. When you agree, you confirm both.
Nothing in these terms takes away a right you have under a consumer protection law that cannot be waived.
4. Your account and your team
- Each app has its own account. A business that uses two of our apps has two accounts.
- Keep your sign-in private. Our apps sign you in with an emailed code, with Google, or with a service such as Jobber. We never ask for your password to another service.
- You decide who joins your team and what each person may do. You are responsible for what your team does in the app.
- Keep your details correct, especially your company name and email, because your customers may see them and we send notices to them.
- Tell us right away if you think someone got into your account without permission.
5. Free plans and trials
Some apps have a free plan or a trial. The app shows what it includes and its limits. When a trial ends, your account moves to the free plan if there is one, or the app asks you to pick a paid plan before you carry on. We will not charge you at the end of a trial unless you chose a paid plan.
We may change or end a free plan. If that takes away something you use, we will tell you at least 30 days before.
6. Paid plans and billing
- Prices. The app shows each plan's price before you choose it. Prices are in Canadian dollars in Canada and US dollars in the United States, and taxes are added where they apply.
- Payment. We take payment through Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Renewal. Paid plans are billed in advance, each month unless the app says otherwise. A plan renews until you cancel it. By choosing a paid plan, you let us charge your payment method through Stripe at each renewal.
- Changing plans. The app explains when a change starts. Usually an upgrade starts right away with a prorated charge, and a downgrade starts at your next renewal.
- Failed payments. If a payment fails, Stripe tries again. If it keeps failing, we may move your account to the free plan or pause paid features until it is paid.
- Price changes. We will tell you at least 30 days before a price goes up. The new price starts at your first renewal after that.
7. Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel a paid plan at any time from the app's plan or billing page. You keep the paid plan until the end of the period you paid for. Cancelling a plan does not close your account or delete your data.
We do not refund part of a period, except where the law requires it, where the app did not work because of us, or where we close your account without you breaking these terms (section 16).
8. Your data
It is yours. You keep ownership of everything you and your team put into our apps, and of what the apps bring in from services you connect. We call this “your data”.
Our permission to use it. You let us host, copy, process, send and back up your data, but only to run the app for you, to support you, to keep the app secure, to meet the law, and to fix and improve the app. This permission ends when your data is deleted, except for copies we must keep by law.
Counts and patterns. We may use statistics that do not identify you, your team or your customers, such as how many records an app handles in a month, to run and improve our apps.
We do not sell your data. We share it only with our service providers, who help us run the apps, as our Privacy Policy describes, and when the law makes us. The Privacy Policy describes each kind of provider, and its Service providers page names the ones we use today.
Data about other people. Your data may include information about your customers, your team and others. We handle that information for you, as your service provider. You are responsible for having the right to give it to us, and for any notice or consent the law requires from you. Our Privacy Policy says how we handle it.
9. Your customers and your messages
Some of our apps send messages or show records to your customers for you. When they do:
- You are the sender. You confirm you have a business relationship with each person you contact and any permission the law requires to email or text them.
- You follow the laws and carrier rules that apply to you, including Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation and the US Telephone Consumer Protection Act.
- You do not use our apps for marketing or bulk messages. They are for messages about work you are doing.
- You honour any request to stop.
Your customers never become our customers by receiving a message or opening a page from our apps, and they never agree to these terms.
10. Acceptable use
Do not use our apps to:
- break a law, or help someone else break one;
- mislead, pressure or impersonate anyone, or act for someone without their permission;
- send spam, marketing, or messages to people who asked you to stop;
- upload anything you have no right to share, or anything harmful such as malware;
- get into an account or data that is not yours;
- probe, overload, scrape or reverse engineer an app, or get round its limits or security;
- resell an app, or use it to build a competing product.
We may remove content or limit an account that breaks these rules, and we will tell you why unless the law or safety stops us.
11. Services from other companies
Our apps connect to services run by other companies, such as Jobber, Google, Stripe, and the AI assistants you choose to connect. Each connection runs on your authorization, and you can disconnect it at any time. Each service has its own terms, and your use of it is between you and that company.
We are not responsible for another company's service: whether it is available, what it changes, what it charges, or what it does with data you send it. If a service changes or stops, a feature that depends on it may change or stop too.
Our apps in the Jobber App Marketplace are made by us, not by Jobber, and Jobber is not responsible for them.
12. AI features
Some of our apps use artificial intelligence to draft, read, match or answer. The app says where it does. When you use these features:
- AI can be wrong. It can misread a photo or an email, pick the wrong item or price, or give a wrong answer. Check what it produces before you rely on it or send it to anyone.
- You stay in charge. An AI feature suggests; a person on your team decides. You are responsible for what you send, save or write back, whoever or whatever drafted it.
- Where your data goes. To run an AI feature, the app sends what that feature needs to an AI provider, as our Privacy Policy describes. We choose providers whose business terms say they do not train their models on that data.
- You can choose not to. Every AI feature is optional, and the app works without it.
- Assistants you connect. If you connect your own AI assistant to one of our apps, it acts for the person who connected it, within what the app lets it do. What that assistant's provider does with what it reads is between you and that provider.
13. Confidentiality
Each of us may see the other's non-public information, such as your data, or details of our apps that we share with you. Each of us will use the other's confidential information only for this agreement, protect it with reasonable care, and share it only with people and providers who need it and keep it confidential. This does not cover information that is public, that the other already had, or that the law requires to be shared (with notice where allowed).
14. Our apps and your feedback
We own our apps, their code, designs and names. While your account is open, you may use the apps for your business under these terms. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.
15. Availability and changes to the apps
We work to keep our apps running and your data safe, but we do not promise they will always be available or free of errors.
We may add, change or retire features, including connections to other services, and we may add or replace the providers we use to run the apps. If a change takes away something important you pay for, we will tell you at least 30 days before, and you may cancel.
Early access, beta and preview. Some features, and some apps, are marked early access, beta or preview. They are still being built. They may change or go away at any time, may not work as well as the rest, and you use them as they are. Tell us what goes wrong, and keep your own copies of anything that matters.
If we decide to close an app, we will tell you at least 90 days before and give you a way to export your data.
16. Suspending or ending your account
- You can stop using an app and close your account at any time. The app's help explains how; if it has no button for it, write to us.
- We can close your account on 30 days' notice for any reason.
- We can suspend or close right away if you seriously break these terms, do not pay, put other people or our systems at risk, or if the law requires it. Where we can, we will tell you why first and give you a chance to fix it.
After an account closes, you have 60 days to ask us for an export of your data. After that we delete it as our Privacy Policy describes. If we close your account without you breaking these terms, we refund any unused part of a period you paid for.
17. Disclaimers
Our apps are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties not written in these terms, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
We are not a law firm, an accountant or a payment processor, and nothing in our apps or from our staff is legal, tax or financial advice. Some places do not allow warranties to be excluded, so some of this section may not apply to you.
18. Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows:
- Neither of us is liable to the other for indirect, special, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, even if warned they were possible.
- Our total liability for all claims about an app is limited to what you paid us for that app in the 12 months before the claim arose, or 100 Canadian dollars if you paid nothing.
- We are not liable for a dispute between you and your customer, your supplier or anyone else you deal with through our apps.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for fraud.
19. Covering each other (indemnity)
You cover us for a claim by someone else that comes from your data, the work you do for your customers, the messages you send through our apps, a dispute with your customer, or you or your team breaking these terms or the law. You pay our reasonable costs of that claim, including legal fees, and any amount we must pay.
We cover you for a claim by someone else that our app, used as these terms allow, infringes their intellectual property rights. We pay your reasonable costs of that claim and any amount you must pay.
Whoever is covered tells the other promptly, lets them run the defence, and helps where reasonable.
20. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of Alberta, sitting in Edmonton, decide any dispute about these terms or our apps, and we both accept their jurisdiction.
Before starting a claim, please write to us and give us 30 days to try to sort it out.
21. Notices
We send notices to the email of your account's owner, or show them in the app. You send notices to us at hello@crewcabstudios.com. A notice by email counts as received the next business day after it is sent.
22. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Each version has a version number and an effective date at the top of the page.
Changes that matter. When a change matters, we tell you at least 14 days before it takes effect, by email and in the app, and we say when it takes effect. Our apps show each person a notice the next time they open them. Using an app after a change takes effect means you accept it. If you do not agree, you can cancel before the change takes effect, and section 7 applies. A change matters when it reduces your rights or adds to what you must do.
Other changes. A change that does not reduce your rights or add to what you must do takes effect when we post it, without notice. For example: making the wording clearer, fixing a mistake, describing a new feature, or adding or replacing a service provider within the kinds our Privacy Policy describes.
A change needed for a new law, or to keep people safe, may take effect sooner. You can ask us for an earlier version at any time.
23. General
- Whole agreement. These terms, the app's addendum and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about our apps, and replace anything said before.
- Moving the agreement. You may not transfer this agreement without our written consent. We may transfer it to an affiliate, or to a company that takes over an app or our business, including a company we form to run our apps. We will tell you if we do.
- If part does not hold, the rest still does.
- Not enforcing a term right away does not mean we give it up.
- Things outside our control, such as an outage at a provider, an internet failure or a natural disaster, excuse delays they cause.
- Relationship. Neither of us is the other's agent, partner or employee.
- What lasts. Sections that by their nature should last after this agreement ends, such as 8, 13, 17, 18, 19 and 20, do.
- Language. These terms are written in English. If we give you a translation, the English version governs where the law allows.

The Matched addendum
Matched addendum
Draft, not in effect yet · Version 2026-10-06-draft
Draft. This addendum is not in effect yet. Until it is, the Terms of Service above apply to Matched on their own.
This addendum adds to our Terms of Service for Matched (itsmatched.com), our app that puts company card charges on the right Jobber job. Where it and the Terms of Service disagree about Matched, this addendum wins. Words such as “we”, “you” and “your team” mean what they mean in the Terms of Service.
M1. What Matched is, and is not
Matched is a tool. It reads charges from your card platform, such as Float, Ramp or Brex, or from your bank, and suggests a Jobber job for each one, or No job for a company cost that belongs to no job, with a confidence level and a reason. When a person confirms a match with Send to Jobber, or auto-accept does (section M3), Matched writes an expense to that job in Jobber, with the receipt when there is one.
Matched is not payments infrastructure. It never moves money, issues cards, pays anyone or takes part in settlement. We are not a payment processor, a money services business or a card issuer. Matched never receives or stores full card numbers.
Matched is not accounting, bookkeeping or tax advice. It does not decide how a cost should be treated in your books or for tax.
Matched does not change a Jobber job's details, quotes or invoices.
M2. What you are responsible for
You are responsible for:
- Checking matches. Suggestions can be wrong. A confidence level is an estimate, not a promise.
- What reaches Jobber and your books. That includes the accuracy of each expense Matched writes to Jobber for you, and anything Jobber then passes on to your accounting software.
- Your accounts. Keep your Jobber, card platform and bank accounts in good standing.
- Your authority to connect them. You confirm you may connect those accounts to Matched, create and share any token Matched uses, and let Matched read from and write to them as this addendum says. A Float token must be created by one of your Float administrators, and you can revoke it in Float at any time.
M3. Auto-accept
Matched proposes a job. A person on your account confirms it. An owner may turn on auto-accept for High confidence matches instead. It is off until an owner turns it on.
- The warning. Before auto-accept turns on, Matched shows the owner a warning: that Matched will add High confidence expenses to Jobber on its own, without anyone checking first; that High matches are usually right, but not always; that you are responsible for what lands in Jobber; and how to undo and turn it off. It turns on only after the owner ticks “I understand” and confirms.
- Your confirmation in advance. While it is on, Matched writes those matches to Jobber as if a person had accepted each one. By turning it on, you give that confirmation in advance, and you are responsible for the writes made under it. Matched records which owner turned it on, when, and which version of the warning they saw, and shows the owner and the date in Settings while it is on. That record is your confirmation.
- Undo. You can turn auto-accept off at any time, with no further step. For 14 days after a match you can undo it in Matched, or take the expense back out of Jobber. Auto-accepted matches are marked as such, with a reminder that they were made without a check.
- Office only cards. If an owner marks a card as office only, its charges are filed as No job on their own, unless something on a charge says it might be for a job. Marking the card is your confirmation in advance, and each one can be undone the same way. No job is never sent to Jobber.
M4. Jobber
When you connect Jobber, you let Matched:
- read your account's name, your jobs (number, title, status, client and property address), your clients' names, your team members' names, emails and roles, their clock-ins, and your expenses;
- receive Jobber's notices when a job is created or changed, or when Matched is disconnected;
- write an expense to a job when a match is confirmed: a title, a description, the date, the amount and the receipt;
- delete an expense Matched added, when you take it out of Jobber.
Clock-ins are used only to suggest a job. Expenses are read only to check charges against what is already in Jobber. Matched never shows or totals labour.
Jobber's own terms apply to your Jobber account. Matched is made by us, not Jobber; Jobber did not make it and does not endorse it, and its name is used only to say what Matched works with. Jobber can change its service, limit its API or end our access at any time, and if that happens Matched may stop working in whole or in part. We will tell you when we know. An owner can disconnect Jobber in Settings; what Matched already wrote to Jobber stays there.
M5. Your card platform, your bank and your statements
Card platforms. When you connect Float, Ramp or Brex, you let Matched read card charges (merchant, amount, date, cardholder, card, memo and the fields your crew fills in), your custom fields and receipts. From Float, Matched also reads approved bills and their attachments. Matched writes nothing to your card platform. Float, Ramp and Brex are not parties to these terms, did not make Matched and do not endorse it. Each can change its service or end our access, as in section M4.
Your bank or American Express. If an owner connects a bank card or American Express, they sign in to the bank in Plaid's own window and choose the cards Matched may read. Matched then reads, through Plaid, those cards' names and last digits and each posted charge (date, merchant, amount, currency, category, and the card member's name when the bank gives it). Matched does not read other accounts, does not see the bank password, and writes nothing to the bank. Plaid acts as our service provider for this connection, and Plaid's end user privacy policy also applies to it. When you disconnect the bank, Matched asks Plaid to remove the connection and deletes its access.
Statements you upload. If you upload a card statement from your bank, such as a CSV, OFX or QFX file, Matched reads each line's date, description and amount, and keeps the file encrypted and only for your company. Card numbers in the file are cut to the last four digits when it is read and are never stored in full.
M6. Emails
Matched emails sign-in codes, invites to your team, and support replies. On weekday mornings, when charges are waiting for a job, it emails your company's owners one short summary. Each owner can turn that email off in Settings, or from the link in the email.
M7. AI and your assistant
Section 12 of the Terms of Service applies to each of these.
- Job suggestions. Matched works out its suggestions itself, from the job written on a charge, your crew's clock-ins, your jobs and your past choices. A suggestion is a suggestion: check it.
- Ask Matched, the help chat, sends your question, the conversation so far and a short summary of your account to our AI provider, as our Privacy Policy describes. It only answers. It cannot change anything in your account. Answers can be wrong, and you can always ask a person instead.
- AI assistants you connect (such as Claude or ChatGPT) act as the person who connected them. They can list charges waiting for a job, read a charge, recent matches, job costs, usage and connections, and confirm a match, choose a job, mark a charge No job, or undo a match. They cannot turn auto-accept on or off, change your plan or billing, connect or disconnect Jobber or a card, manage your team, or take an expense out of Jobber. You can disconnect an assistant in Settings.
M8. Plans and limits
Plans. Plans are measured in card charges a month. The plans and their prices are on itsmatched.com and in the app. Today they are:
- Free: 25 card charges a month.
- Crew: 150 card charges a month.
- Company: 500 card charges a month.
A card charge counts once, in the calendar month it happened, on Edmonton time (Mountain time). If you go over your plan's limit, Matched keeps reading your charges and asks you to upgrade. Nothing is lost.
Billing. Customers in Canada pay in Canadian dollars, and customers in the United States pay in US dollars; the number is the same in both currencies. Sales tax is worked out by Stripe from your billing address and added on top. After a cancellation, or when every retry of a failed payment fails, your account moves to the Free plan, and your data stays. We will tell you at least 30 days before a price change, or a material change to this addendum, applies to you.
Fair use. Ask Matched takes up to 12 questions in a chat and 60 a day for each company. An uploaded statement can be up to 900 KB. We may change these limits to protect the service.
M9. Data
- Only for you. We use data from Jobber, your card platform and your bank only to provide Matched to you. We do not sell it or share it for others' use, we do not use one customer's data to train AI models or build products for other customers, and we do not charge for access to it.
- Passwords and tokens. Tokens and keys for Jobber, your card platform and your bank connection are stored encrypted. We never ask for or store your Jobber, card platform or bank password.
- When you disconnect Jobber, your card platform or your bank, Matched stops reading from it straight away.
- How long, export and deletion follow the Terms of Service and the section for Matched in our Privacy Policy.
The same Terms of Service are at crewcabstudios.com/terms. Our Privacy Policy is part of these terms.
