What Matched reads and writes
The data Matched reads from Jobber and your card platform, what it writes, and what it never does.
From Jobber
- Reads: jobs, clients, the people on your account, crew clock-ins, and expenses (to check a card statement).
- Writes: an expense, with its receipt, on the job a charge is matched to. Take out of Jobber deletes an expense Matched added.
Matched never changes a job's details, quotes or invoices. Clock-ins are only used to find the job for a charge. Matched never shows or totals labour.
From your card platform
- Reads: card charges (merchant, amount, date, cardholder, memo, and what your crew coded), your custom fields, and receipts.
- Writes: nothing.
From your bank or Amex, through Plaid
- Reads: posted charges on the business cards you pick (date, merchant, amount, which card, and the cardholder when your bank names one), through Plaid. See Connect your bank or Amex.
- Writes: nothing. Matched can't move money and never sees your bank password. Plaid's access is stored encrypted, and Disconnect deletes it.
From a statement you upload
- Reads: the date, description and amount of each line.
- Keeps: the file, stored encrypted and only for your company, with any card number cut to its last four digits. See Reconcile a card statement.
What Matched never does
- It never moves money, issues cards, or touches payments.
- It never stores card numbers, only the last four digits.
- It never shows your card platform token again after you paste it. Tokens are stored encrypted.
Error reports and usage
To find bugs and see where Matched is hard to use, Matched can send:
- Error reports to Sentry. What went wrong, on which page, and in which browser. Before a report leaves, Matched removes anything you submitted, your cookies, and the query part of the web address. You are known only by an internal ID, never your name or email.
- Usage and session replays to PostHog. Which pages you open and what you click, and a replay of how you moved around a page. In a replay every field you type in is hidden, and on signed-in pages all the text on screen is hidden too, so charges, jobs, clients and names are never recorded. You are known only by an internal ID. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, PostHog does not load at all.
Card numbers are never recorded; Matched doesn't have them. Sentry and PostHog store this data in the United States. Vercel Speed Insights also measures how fast pages load.
Paying for Matched
Payments for your plan go through Stripe. Matched doesn't store your payment card.
