Sending to Jobber, undo and take out
What lands in Jobber when you match a charge, how to retry, and how to undo or take an expense back out.
What lands in Jobber
When you match a charge to a job, Matched adds an expense to that job in Jobber:
- the title is the merchant;
- the amount and date are the charge's;
- the receipt is attached when there is one;
- the description ends with a short tag like
[Matched float:...]. Leave that line in place. It stops the same charge being added twice.
A split charge becomes one expense per part. No job and ignored charges are not sent to Jobber.
The top of Charges says whether sending to Jobber is on. When it's off, your matches are saved in Matched only.
Ready for Jobber
If Jobber refuses an expense, or sending was off, the charge stays matched and waits under Ready for Jobber on Charges. To try again:
- Tick the charges you want to send (up to 25 at a time).
- Select Send selected to Jobber.
If a charge is already in Jobber, Matched links it instead of posting it again.
Undo or take out
Everything you matched in the last 14 days is under Recently matched at the bottom of Charges.
- Undo puts a charge back in the list. It shows when the charge isn't in Jobber yet.
- Take out of Jobber deletes the expense Matched added in Jobber and puts the charge back in the list. It shows when the charge is already in Jobber.
- Open in Jobber takes you to the job.
